WPG now offers a very exact recreation of the WWII squad and platoon level radio, with an option for a functioning radio, or a display only shell that you can convert yourself. Each comes complete with khaki sling. Yes, it is a full-size metal body; what part of "exact recreation" do you not understand?
OPTION 1 ($135): Functioning Radio. Has a built-in 14-channel Family Radio System (FRS) receiver/transmitter with a range about approximately 1 mile (1-2km). Radio controls are accessed by removing the top cover (screwdriver required), batteries (4 AA cells, not included) are accessed through the bottom door. The original rubber-covered Push-to-Talk switch activates the transmitter. Antenna covers unscrews and telescoping antenna extends just like originals.
OPTION 2 ($70): Empty shell. This model has all the external features of the functional radio, but is empty inside. Perfect for display, or for your own conversion project.
