I used to own an original WW2 SAS/ SBS/ Commando, Smock, and must say, that this Reproduction should get a 10 out of 10 for pattern size, color match, overall pattern accuracy. And a 9 out of 10, for fabric weight. Though I know how difficult it is to acquire the exact materials today. A 10 out of 10 for proper thread count and weave. Though the buttons appear to be reproduction. The are the proper type issued and close to the exact color. I was very glad that they did not reproduce either the Smock or Trousers in some heavyweight, stiff material. Like the Chinese do. And these even softened up properly, after washing. Note; always wash cold cycle, and inside out.
As this cuts down on shrinkage and extends the color fastness and life. And refrain from washing the items that have zippers with them. To avoid unnecessary rips and tares. I’m so satisfied with mine, that I plan to get an oversized Smock and customize it after a Officers Smock I saw in a period photo. I hope all will enjoy this affordable icon piece of history, as I have. Respectfully from a former Marine

Best repro for this package..You should also make a modified "French indochine" version with a zip in front and button tabs at the bottom of the sleeves .. but otherwise it's superb..

the only bad things is some internal stiching are to modern, you see it when you rolled up the sleeves.

I compared this reproduction with my origina set in my collection and the patterns and colour are spot on!I wore this over my WPG wool BD, collarless shirt and string vest in 30 degree F weather and kept toasty warm, even during periods of inactivity. I am very pleased with the set and will recommend it to others.
