Navy MK1 Mae West Vest (2011-08-08)
I was very pleased with the life vest. It appears to be pretty accurate and at the sale price a decent alternative to an expensive authentic vest (if you can even find one). Will work very well for display purposes with all original other items for a WWII navy pilot display.

US Navy Mk I Mae West (2009-02-28)
Great item. It is a fine reproduction,. The ehad opening is snug, but that is a very minor point. I'm glad we have it for our interpretive programs

The MK-1 (2008-10-16)
With some use, and engine oil and crushed coral dust this vest will look like a perfect early war VMF vest from the PTO ...I wish Jerry would make somemore M-450 helmets though!!!

A great reproduction (2008-02-18)
I was excited to see someone was producing a reproduction of the very expensive MK-I. I saw George Gay''s original at the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola and this WPG one is right on. The hole that your head goes through seems a little small but managable. It is stiff when new but with a little work and some tea-dye and a few well placed "oil" stains, it "authenticates" nicely. I''m one of the few USN pilot reenactors (as far as I''ve seen)and to see Jerry go to this extreme to supply us with a quality product is most inspiring. Jerry is really the only one I''ve found that has more than just 1 or 2 Navy articles and I own all he produces. They all are well worth it.
