US M1903 Mills Rifle Cartridge Belt (Mounted) This is a new reproduction of the first pattern of cartridge belt adopted for the M1903 Springfield rifle.  It has 9 pockets for 5-round rifle clips, closed by eagle snaps.  The bottoms of the pockets are not reinforced because the round nose bullets used at this time did not require it.  The belt ends are early tapered style.  The sword chape is on the left side for attaching the saber carrier.  Belt adjusted from 28 to 46 inches.
