British Holster for Sam Browne Belt .45 Auto M1911 Leather

British Holster for Sam Browne Belt .45 Auto M1911 Leather
The British Army used Colt M1911 type pistols extensively in both world wars, but original holsters for these pistols have been difficult to find.  This reproduction copies an original in the WPG collection that perfectly fits M1911 type pistols.

It is made if top quality leather, and matches the leather used in my British Sam Browne belts.  The belt loops are 2 1/2 inches wide.  There are also D rings for attaching a shoulder strap (some people opted to wear it with a shoulder strap only and no belt).  This holster fits all 1911 type auto pistols, as well as other large frame automatics such as the Webley & Scott used by the RFC and Royal Navy.
