I bought a pair of these units on a Saturday and they arrived by the following Thursday. Fast, workmanlike service! I would give the service and shipping department five stars.
Quality of the outer shells is very good to outstanding; however, of the two radios, one worked perfectly, while the other could only transmit and not receive. I am not sure of anyone is having the same issues, but it is something to keep in mind when ordering. I was hoping that the bugs were worked out with this follow-on production run, but apparently it''s still a crap-shoot. Would it be possible to have these units tested for functionality before shipping? I think that would save everyone a lot of headaches.
BTW, any plans for a repop PRC-6?
