The bracket that the top screws to has been much improved from the first one we bought 10+ years ago. Looking forward to putting a UV-5R modern radio in it like I've done to a handful of others. This item looks spot on! Maybe I'll add some ballast weight to this one, so the light weight isn't the giveaway.
