This is a fantastic article of clothing. It fits well, keeps me warm, and makes me feel as though I have an adventure ahead of me.

A typical WPG utilitarian garment which was quite stiff and smelling of lanolin and storage when received, but now worn in and much more flexible (same as other sweaters I've had from this excellent company). I wear submariners all the time and this has quickly become one of my favourites. As you see in vintage photographs, these were often worn by merchant seamen as an outer layer. Most modern repro sub sweaters wouldn't put up with that sort of abuse but i'd have faith in the WPG version. I'm race-built 5' 9" with a 39-40" chest and the 42" size is perfect for me.

The sweater is a perfect reproduction and the fit is excellent. But I will not lie or play it down; it is s-c-r-a-t-c-h-y, even with a cotton turtleneck under. I absolutely love the look but the feel stresses me. (Sigh) oh well...
