The boot is very well made, very stiff when new. I would recommend getting a 1/2 size or whole size larger. If you wear a size 8 then get a size 9 and not an 8. My new ones fit perfect but after wearing them in the mud and muck and letting them dry in a cool environment they shrunk enough that some of my toes hit the front when going downhill. They are still good for flat ground walking.
