I bought this jacket based on the reviews and pretty much what everyone is saying about them, I can concur. It's nice, heavy, and very true to the real deal. It's probably as close as you're likely to get in my opinion. I wear a size 50R in a suit jacket and the XL size of this jacket fits me just about perfect. The elastic bands on the wrists and waist are a tad tight, but I sort of like that and figure that with wear they'll loosen up, and become perfect. The wool is a bit prickly but then again, that's exactly how the originals were! In fact, I'd have to say they nailed the wool and cloth pretty much perfectly from a historical perspective. If you want authentic, are particular about historic accuracy, this jacket is a real score! I just ordered their Mackinaw jacket, being so impressed with this jacket, and am looking forward to it ;) Will leave a review on that jacket as well.
