US M1910 Dispatch Case

I was looking for a classic/vintage-looking map case for some hiking tours I am planning this summer. This one fits the bill perfectly. It is well constructed, the material is of excellent quality except for the strap hooks which seem a little flimsy, but we''ll see how they hold up. Fitting a map into the compartment takes a little practice. The second compartment takes pens, notebook and some other small essentials. Absolutely fascinating how a pattern that''s over a hundred years old can still serve me in 2014...!

Extremely pleased with the construction and sturdy materials. Have actually taken the canvas strap and used on my mk VII repro bag, which works better than the leather strap.
