Form Fitting Suggestion (10/19/2025)
My very elderly Indian neighbor down the street smiled when I showed him my Indian Army Khaki cap comforter. He said for a proper fit, use a medium sauce pan (in my case a 3 qt), with the cap already folded into a hat, roll it dry over an upside down sauce pan, leaving 1 or 1 ½" of the fold above the pan bottom. Scrunch up hat and clip with half-a-dozen clothes pins. Thoroughly soak in cold water. Allow to air dry in the shade. Next day, leaving the hat on the sauce pan repeat the cold water soak and allow to air dry in the shade. The sauce pan "trick" leaves a flat crest with parallel flaps. The two cold water soaks serves a purpose, the first wakes up the fibers and the second sets a memory for the fibers. He seemed familiar with the process, but wouldn't elaborate.

Solid kit. (9/13/2024)
Thick 100% wool, I wore this on a two-week backcountry canoe trip. It was perfect for the cold nights around camp. It also goes very well with my Burma / CBI impression. Thanks to the WPG Team!
