A classic! My sweater arrived in what appears to be new, never-issued condition. I'm basing this on both the great condition and the smell, which is EXACTLY like what all of my new uniforms in boot camp smelled like when I joined the U.S. Navy all those years ago. What memories! I felt like the proverbial war horse sniffing powder as the distinctive scent brought back things I hadn't thought of in years. I'm tempted not to wash the smell off, but then I probably shouldn't wear it until I do.

Overall, quality is high, and the look it gives is authentically true to the period described.

Most other sweaters out there are plain and look like they belong on a tennis court. This one has character & goes well with brown and/or tan clothing.
