I had read a detailed review of this jacket online giving the overall measurements of the jacket. I compared the measurements given for the A-2 with my US Navy issued Ike jacket - and they were very close. I am 5'9" tall - 228 lbs, 47" chest and 41" waist and the XL fits the way I like a jacket to fit. Close fitting without being too snug, I can wear the jacket over an oxford with a sweater vest comfortably or over a thin lambs wools turtle as well...bottom line This is exactly what I had hoped it would be. I wanted an A-2 that would fit well and it does.
