a great all-around shirt

I'm a big fan of merino henleys as a base layer -- work great in cold humidity or in deserts. I was a bit skeptical how the greyback might perform. So far, it seems to be comparable to my henleys. Of course, if you are doing reenacting, this may not relevant, you'd just suffer in sympathy with past soldiers. But it's a comfortable shirt by any standard. I have two. These are a nice weight woolen flannel, and make a nice dress shirt for civilian use. Button holes are small - this causes difficulty with sleeve cuffs which I button tight and have trouble taking off. But it's worth it. Collar band and placket bottom strips are nicely made. Permanent creases stay after washing. Beautiful light grey color. Sizing accurate after first wash in cold water with air dry. Otherwise sleeves were long. great details.
