Even though the American issued M1917 is slightly longer than the Springfield, it fits just fine.
I am even more impressed by the craftsmanship and quality of the leather, mustard khaki canvas and all metal hardware is top quality. Really the metal buckles, end tips, etc are superior than what has been seen elsewhere
It appears that our friends overseas that make this fun stuff for us really do get it.
I am very impressed and if the later model Springfield rifle case is ever offered from this source I will gladly buy one as well.
