These socks are very fine, a little too fine actually. More of an officer's quality item rather than an general issue, very nice and well worth the price. Unfortunately, in my case, the foot portion of the sock was way large (I wear size 10UK/11US), though I expect it may have shrunk to acceptable proportions if washed hot/dried hot, which I didn't do. The real problem for me was the length, they came well over my knee (I'm 5'10"). I could double-over the top at least twice with the excess, making for a too snug fit around my calf (15"+). I didn't try to fix them b/c I had also ordered a pair of the orig Indian socks, they were spot on.

Very nice but only issue is they are a bit baggy in the foot but tight up top. I ordered large because of reviews. I can deal with this though so it's just really a minor negative on size not quality.
