US Officer Khaki Trousers

The trousers feature a period-correct high-waist and a full, generous cut through the thighs and legs. They are wide-legged but not baggy in the rear, maintaining a trim appearance. The rise is notably high, with one size 44 pair having a 16-inch rise. This cut is suitable for a 1920s-40s inspired civilian look as well as reenactment.

The trousers are made from a heavy cotton khaki fabric. This material is the same as that used for issue khakis. The fabric is sturdy and has a nice colour.

The trousers are not vanity sized and run small compared to modern clothing. It is advisable to order one or two sizes larger than your usual modern waist size. For example, a modern 32-inch waist may require a 36-inch waist in these trousers.

These officer's version trousers feature two flapped rear pockets with button closures. They also have on-seam pockets and a period pocketwatch pocket on the right side. The rear pockets are cut somewhat narrow.

There is inconsistency with the zipper quality; some trousers have a zipper that is more than fine, while others experience the zipper opening spontaneously. This issue can sometimes be corrected by moving the waist button sideways.

When washing, use a cold wash and a low dry setting to minimise shrinkage. While shrinkage is minimal, it can occur, sometimes requiring the top button to be moved by about half an inch.
