The uniform jacket and trousers are made from 100% wool barathea cloth. This material is authentic to the original uniforms. The material is comparable to original World War II era uniforms. The quality of the material is exceptional.

The uniform is very hard to distinguish from an original World War II RAF or RCAF uniform. The material is spot on when compared to a World War II RCAF hat. The overall quality of the material, cut, and accuracy of both the jacket and trousers is exceptional. The uniform is not cut exactly as a World War II original, but the general fit and appearance are very good.

The jacket generally fits true to size, with a normal size providing plenty of room. For example, a 42-inch chest would typically order a size 42 jacket. Some jackets may require minor tailoring, such as taking in the waist or chest, for a more form-fitting appearance. The tailoring of the jacket is generally excellent.

For the trousers, measure your actual waist size, and that will be the size you should order. The trousers typically have about 1 inch of material that can be let out if needed. Some trousers are cut a little slimmer in the body than expected. If an exchange is needed for a larger size, the process is easy and quick.

Both the jacket sleeves and trouser legs are shipped with an unfinished length. A tailor will need to adjust these to your specific measurements. You will also need to have your tailor attach rank braid to the sleeves. Rank braid is not included with the uniform and must be sourced separately.
