This is a new reproduction of the first pattern of cartridge belt adopted for the M1903 Springfield rifle.  It has 9 pockets for 5-round rifle clips, closed by eagle snaps.

The bottoms of the pockets are not reinforced because the round nose bullets used at this time did not require it.  The belt ends are early tapered style.  The sword chape on the mounted Army model is on the left side for attaching the saber carrier.  Belt adjusted from 28 to 46 inches.

View This is a new reproduction from WHAT PRICE GLORY of the leather garrison belt adopted by the US Army around 1904, during the conversion from black to suset leather. The garrison belt was worn with very few changes until 1942. This belt could be worn with a variety of accessories for either mounted or dismounted duties.
