The Cotton Comforter was adopted in 1935 as a supplement to wool blankets in poorly heated barracks. It was issued extensively to the Civilian Conservation Corps. The Army also issued these during WWII, and they were often found in the M1935 Bedding Roll. NOTE: Our reproduction has a 100% cotton outer shell, but the insulation is polyester rather than the original cotton batting.
