Great Product, A Bit Thin

I recently bought this wool uniform set, and first off was thrilled to see how fast everything arrived! As a tall, skinny guy (6'1", 135lbs) I was skeptical of the sizing, however once everything arrived, it was a perfect fit! No tailoring required! I thought for sure I'd need to let the pantlegs and sleeves out to fit my long legs and arms, but that was not necessary. The standard inseam of these trousers, while cut different, was a bit more than enough to fit my size 36 inseam American Eagle jean legs. The sizing was a major plus for me. They fit just like my original set of wools. The only downside in my eyes is the weight of the wool used, particularly on the shirt. The shirt feels quite thin, and rather soft compared to my original example. The gas flap feels very cheap and thin. This all may, however, be to the improvement of wool manufacturing techniques made in the last 80 years and the fact that this wool is brand new. It may also be due to chinsy wool. What it is, I do not know for sure, but I do know it's quite a bit thinner and softer than my original. I am not going to let this bother me though, as this is an outstanding product for the price it's being sold at. I can definitely see myself getting my money's worth out of these wools. And I get to preserve my original set of wools as my very first event is coming up in 2 weeks. WPG, if you want something to improve upon, I'd work at acquiring some more accurate wool. However, I will definitely buy another set once my current set is worn out.

It is not often that I encounter customer service which surpasses my expectations. My enlisted mans wool set was awesome in color ,texture ,etc.,and it made it from Dubai to Pennsylvania in only 4 days ! I had unfortunately ordered a shirt which was too small. As always, the speed of delivery is uncanny. Received a shipment of items within three days. The trousers are spot on in size, fabric and buttons. High waist and full in legs, like the originals of the 1940s. Sure fabric is a bit thin compared to originals and my other reproductions, but nice fabric and will be cooler during the summer months. Pocket placement compared to others I have is About 1 1/2 inches too low.

First off let me say that customer service is GREAT! Now for the product. The fabric is awesome and the quality of construction is good and sturdy. HOWEVER, the cut is terrible. The sleeves on the shirt are HUGE! When overlaid on my original they are 3" wider at the pit. The pleat at the wrist cuff is 3" deep. It should only be 3/4" max. This creates a parachute like billowing all the way to the shoulder. The pant legs are so huge I can get two of my legs into 1. When compared to my originals they are good 4" roomier at the top of the thigh. Even my wife, who does tailoring said she could do nothing to fix them.

Mustard Wool Shirt and Trouser package

Ordered on Friday, received Tuesday from the Dubai Warehouse. Amazingly fast shipping. Fairly accurate replica of the M1941 Wool Shirt and M1937 Wool trousers. Shirt is thin and almost feels like felt, comfortable and fit well. Kudos on the half size necks. The Trousers were heavy wool and fit well straight out of the package. So well in fact I might just forgo having them hemmed. Color is on the darker side of the mustard OD spectrum and well within acceptable standards. Color match between shirt and trousers was nearly flawless, maybe half a shade in difference, but then the originals were like that, so accurate by my accounting. Five by Five guys, Great Job!!!

The order arrived promtly, the color good and fit is fine. However, most of the button holes were cut/sewn incorrectly, making it impossible to button/unbutton. I have had to take it to a tailor to have the holes repaired. For the price, the quality should have been spot-on.

Ordered the size I needed, and that's what I got. Did not run too big or too small. The trousers seem very durable and should stand up to rolling around in the dirt. The shirt is very nice and made of a light wool which can easily be worn in warm weather without getting overheated.
