Size is perfect, cant really find anything different from the originals. The color is a little on the lighter side but will darken over time after a few runs of polish and allowing the leather to age.

I used to own a never before issued NOS pair of 1944 WWII Officer shoes (until I sold them). This pair is exactly like the originals in every respect. Only the laces are different..the laces are the modern rounded type as opposed to the flat silk type but you can pick up flat laces anywhere. The coloring is exactly right and they are comfortable too! Great product!

I was amazed and delighted when I received my US Army Officers' Oxford repros---in fact, a bit intimidated by them. But I put them on for a test-walk, and was immediately won over by their superb fit and comfort. They were intended for a WW2 re-enactment project, but they're so beautiful that I'm sure they'll see a good deal of dress-wear as well. Thank You!

Shoes are very nice. They did not come in a box and the toes had some of the finish scratched off from shipping. Polished them and it covered it up for the most part. I like them.

Dress shoes are great. I prefer a tight fit with my shoes. If you have a narrow foot, I would recommend purchasing the next smaller size when you order.

I ordered the socks together with a pair of shoes, a shirt and a US Army Officer 4-Pocket Class A Dress Tunic. Unfortunately the tunic was too large. I've send it back for an exchange. I expect there will be no problem. The other 3 items really are what I was looking for.
I'll participate next july as a reennactor at the Duxford Flying Legends show and I'm sure I will look great in these items.

I wore these shoes "out of the box" to a dinner dance at the USS Hornet. Although I consider myself particular about shoes,I found them to be extremely comfortable. The attention to detail is impressive. They have that 1940's vibe but could easily be used every day. My only critisism is that I had to knot the laces to keep them tied. (Also, I didn't get a shoe horn, but c'est la vie.) Many thanks to WPG.

These seem to have an impressive finish, and fit well. I am 8 1/2 D, so purchased a size 9, which seems OK and should be fine with leather sole inserts. I assumed size 8 would be too small. The width is perfect for my foot, a medium D.
I would only note that the shoes are not all leather-lined, only partially. All leather interior would make for a quite higher price.
I purchased these simply for general wear since I prefer traditional Oxford styling in a colouring suitable for wear with sports coats, etc., and they seemed to offer good value for money. I am not at all disappointed.
