The receivers are near perfect. The ONLY difference I could discern between these and my originals if the fabric cord cover lacks 80 years of honest wear and the wires INSIDE the fabric wrapped cords are rubber coated. My originals are all fabric sheathed. But you gotta look close and hard to see those exposed wires where they attach to the receivers. Another great product from WPG.

Bought them for my repro tanker helmet and they look good, except the wiring is so much longer, like 5 inches longer between the speakers than my originals in my original tanker helmet.

I found that the wires can make a complete circuit. Speaker covers unscrew, short cable side wire is able to carry +, tip of jack. Drill into both brass plates, tap 4-40 1/4" long screws. Installed earbud, maybe a small speaker later. The - goes from there through to other earphone. Drill, tap and made jumper. The long cable goes to - on jack. Burn off wire coating about 1/2" on wires of + & - earbud cables to wrap around screws. Female mono jack + bent in to make contact, filed out hole a little to fit. Only one but it works.

Product looked as good as advertised. My only real complaint was the shipping document from the UAE showed the cost of the headset was a small fraction of what I paid. I know that there is a markup but I would have preferred not to see how much! It made me feel like I had paid more than I should have for this product.

These are incredible reproductions! I added them to my B5 helmet for display.

The exterior marks are very authentic, as are the cloth covered wire and PL-54 Plug.
So what if these do not function elecrically? If you had an original set, what would you be listening to anyway? Now if you want to get creative, figure out some blue tooth hack and put a hidden receiver under the leather pads. FYI, I saw some very creative communications with modern electronics concealed inside old back pack radios, etc.
Buy this you will like it.
