U.K.. officers shirt

just arrived.
nice material and colour looks good, goes well with ties I purchased a couple of weeks ago.
Only one niggle, why are button holes so tight- noticed this with bush jacket bought a few years ago.
anyway this is last item needed for Royal Artillery officer 1944 rig!(waiting for D day)

Contrary to some critisism (word of mouth) the collar fits just fine and the shirt is a perfect (Army) fit. I can't give it a 5, because the colour is darker on these than Period images. I think it should be much lighter.

Bought this for those time when you want to dress things up a bit. Fit is great, and is one of the most comfortable reenacting garments I've owned. A nice alternative for the Well Dressed Tommy !

bears no relation to the size chart whatsoever. I determined I'd need an M-L. It would fit my wife inside as well.
According to the size chart the collar is 15 1/2". It's actually closer to 17". No use to me at all.
The one and only part of an officers shirt that it is imperative to get right is the collar size. That's the only part that is seen and has to look smart with a tie.
I have had no apology or acceptance of the problem. Why should I pay for the return shipping?
Avoid these shirts unless you do not mind looking sloppy.

Excellent quality and rapid service, as usual. To be fully authentic for period, the shirt should have detachable collar and turnback cuffs. It would also help to give collar size in inches/centimetres. All of which being said, I am more than satisfied with two excellent shorts of the correcty cut and colour to complement my 1914-18 ALH officer's uniform.

these are amazing they are suitable for ww1 and ww2 would be nice if gerry could consider a collarless version with detached collar like an original. but even a big bloke like me found these a joy to wear and they felt tailored so good work gerry!
