Super Fast Delivery, Great work guys!!

Purchased this for "Wild Bunch" style Cowboy Action Shooting. I was going to have some leather suspenders made until I saw this. The suspenders alone are worth the price. The belt was a little too small for me, but my local leather shop sewed an extension in the middle of the back. I am a tiny bit concerned that the buckle hook might be a little weak and might eventually break, but I am only wearing this one weekend a month so it will probably not be an issue.

The item appears to be of quality material and manufacture, except that one end strap for the shoulder strap has an unusable brass finial closure to secure the strap. I have contacted WPG and requested a replacement for the end strap of the shoulder strap. I have not received the replacement as of the writing.

Another great product from WPG. I ordered this belt for a WWII USMC officer impression. The quality of the belt is very good. I spent a couple hours polishing the brass fittings and dyed the leather with Lincoln Marine Cordovan dye. A few coats of polish later, the belt looks amazing. I'm thinking of ordering another to keep back for my Army officer uniform.

The Sam Browne belt and associate accouterments are well made and sturdy. The equipment reflects field gear of a different era. It is light enough to be worn all day and protects the gear carried.

Sizing the belt is difficult. You should order yours 10-12 inches larger than your pants size, especially if you put a lot of gear on it.

If you get two should straps, cross them in the back to make the Sam Browne gear ride easier. Definitely a niche product that takes some effort to make work.

I was pretty disappointed when I opened the package. I knew I might need a leather softener, but didn't expect to see lots of tarnish on the brass. I did have to buy a brass polish, and just using felt pads and elbow grease I was able to shine it up. Sort of felt like I was restoring an original. However it all worked out, it's a nice quality belt, the sizing is accurate, and in the end its going to look great with my original 1930s officer's set.

Love the belt, but being 6'5" tall the shoulder straps fall a several inches short for me (Unless I want to wear the belt super high, of course.). That's the only reason I dropped it from a five to four. Customer service and quality great as usual.

Quality: Good for a modern leather, and for a reproduction; not as high as an original, but a lot better/nicer than many other modern leathers.

Shipping: Very fast. I was surprised about how fast this was shipped.

Comes with two straps, which is really nice; you can either use both, or just one, and have one as a backup/replacement.

Note to buyers: You have to put the strap on the correct hooks, or else it''ll be too big.

Also, make sure to get it a size or two above your waist size, so it can fit on your jacket.

Overall, it''s a good reproduction, and well worth the price. This was the only site I found that sold reproduction Sam Browne Belts.
