Unlike the kit you find elsewhere, this is traditional leatherwork, where the leather has not been sealed. That means it holds polish well and will easily take on the colour of the polish. It bulls up splendidly and after an hour or so, it looks perfect. Very impressed.

Matches the rest of my Sam Browne equipment perfectly! The straps are easily adjustable and my Basket Hilt backsword fits snugly. I had to remove the brass ring to accommodate my scabbard, but this would be an anomaly for most folks.

I ordered the first one a month ago and was so pleased with the look when added to my Artistes rifles owned 1897 Officers sword. I then decided to order another for a more modern ER tank officers sword. The leather is so nice on this brown frog that staining it black for the tank regiment was no problem. As usual WPG top service all the way. Very pleased.
