I love this bag, I happened to have the UK brass bag hook with the lock so, I pulled the rope out and fed the hook on to the bag and it works great.

The goods arrived in a timely manner and are useable but I have to point out that they are NOT, as advertised a good copy of the originals. They are of a smaller diameter than the originals and they are lacking the canvas loop at the base which, on originals is used to tie the ends of the cord. The cord is also of itself shorter than it should be,

Looks great and well-made with a 1914 dated stamp that actually does look Great War-era. The rope is modern material but an easy replacement.
